Join us on board Aurora for a trip on Bass Strait.

Target species include Yellowtail Kingfish, Australian Salmon, Mako Shark, Gummy Shark, Snapper and Barra Couta just to name a few.

Troll for Kingfish and Salmon, jig for Couta and Snapper or bait fish for Sharks out of our 7.5m centre console boat, Aurora.

Bass Strait is well known for it's population of Mako Sharks and Aurora seems to be a bit of a Mako shark magnet, the Mako's love her so much they often try to eat her!

Mako sharks are renowned for their aggressiveness and hard fighting tactics when hooked, with a full-grown length of 2.75-4 m and have been reported to weigh up to 800 kg.....You better hope you don't hook one of them!!!

Most of the Mako sharks we catch weigh between 40 and 80kg and are loads of fun on 15kg line class or if you are feeling brave why not try catching one on one of our beefed up spin sticks.
